Robin Peterson is the president of Coldwell Banker Burnet. She was first licensed to sell real estate in 1977 when she joined Burnet Realty as a sales associate. Since then, she has also held the positions of assistant manager, branch manager, training director, regional vice president, and executive vice president.Peterson is responsible for all day-to-day operations for the firm’s 36 sales offices, including nearly 3,000 sales associates in Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Cloud, and Rochester, Minnesota, as well as in western Wisconsin. Since being named president, Peterson has been instrumental in developing “mega offices,” growing several of the company’s facilities to approximately 200 sales associates and offering consumers convenient full-service, one-stop real estate shopping on site, including mortgage and title services. Recently, four Twin Cities area Coldwell Banker Burnet sales offices—Minneapolis Lakes, Wayzata, Edina Regional, and Crocus Hill—were ranked among the top 10 of all Coldwell Banker NRT offices in the nation in their respective office size categories. In addition, the Minneapolis Lakes office was awarded the number one position in total units sold for all Coldwell Banker companies internationally. Peterson is a native of Westfield, N.J. She attended the University of Vermont where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history and education. She also earned a master’s degree in history and spent four years teaching junior high school in Vermont and New York. Peterson has lived in Minnesota since 1976. Peterson earned her GRI, is a lifetime member of REPAC, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Association of Realtors. She is also a past director of the Dakota County Board of Realtors and has taught many real estate classes both locally and nationally. City Business magazine named Peterson one of the most influential women in business in the Twin Cities in 1999. She also is a member of the University of Minnesota’s Courtside Club, an athletic booster organization. She and her husband Fran live in Apple Valley, Minn. and have two children: daughter Dana, and son Derek.
